Happy Happy Birthday~~~

ChinaSpeak 1 Year Anniversary
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my Darling and his Business! =)

A year ago, Alex got the government grant to start his own business on his birthday. What a great birthday present?! So Alex decided to hold the celebration together at his family home, inviting his students and friends made through networking. Quite a big celebration.. about 50 people turned up :O I'm glad Yen was there with me, she helped me with waitressing ehehe =) Chun also helped with photography, well.. video-ing. He was quite organised, asking me to take photos while he does the videos hehe

It was really good to see everyone last night. Gav only came for a short while because he had work to do. Lay Hoon and Clive came at the last minute coz Clive the workaholic left work late!!! And I finally managed to match names to faces!!! And an embarassing moment, one of Alex's students said "I know your voice. You are on the class CDs". I went... Argh!! But of course, secretly I was very proud tee hee hee

Also met this Dutch couple. They were SOOOOO nice!!! They had cool accent but they hated theirs. I think European accent is definitely way better than Chinese accent. They're soo.. sexy!!! Luckily, they said I don't have much of an accent (so neh Evan!!!) And my gawd, talk about small world (or just purely small Perth according to Yen!), the lady is a furniture designer and she is currently freelancing for a big Vietnamese family owned furniture company... guess what?!?! The guy she was talking about is my MBA class mate!!!!!! *jaw drop*

And met another couple who has become close to Alex. They're adopting a little Chinese girl and she'll be in Perth in a few weeks time. Another sweet couple! They want me to be the aunty since Alex will be the uncle... I said I'm too young to be aunty, Jie Jie is more than fine with me! =)

Just a few photos from the night...(of course more on my photo blog!)

Yummy cake
There were 2 cakes.. I didn't end up having any :X But luckily there were a few slices left.. Now, here's a picture of ONE of the cakes at the start of the night....

The aftermath
And here it is at the end of the night.. people totally devoured the cakes haha Very yummy obviously =)

Wonder what he's wishing
My darling making a wish... his speech and his wish took awhile and the candles almosted melted the cake!

It was a good night. Totally buggered at the end. Luckily, Yen, Clivina and Lay Hoon stayed behind to help out. The parents did so much :O They cooked SO MUCH and people ate it all!!! Lucky for them that they don't have any left over! =P

Taking Alex out to birthday dinner on Sat night.. tee hee Hopefully it'll turn out ok. Just going to a simple dinner at a nice restaurant with a beautiful view (hopefully I get a good table!!).

Okay - enough... back to work!!
