Well, the big weekend has finally passed. Now I'm trying to recover.
Thanks to Alex, managed to experience a weekend of NLP @ Perth Convention Centre. Quite intense. It was Friday night, then Sat and Sun. And lack of sleep gawd... But I think it was well worth it. Met a whole heap of different people. I even met the guy who works at CS in UWA!!! haha Funny how we ran into each other, and he still remembers me! hehe We have also become acquainted with his friend. Interesting bloke.
This was the first time I participated in something like this, so I have yet to master the skill of visualisation. Some people were getting headaches from it!! It was quite emotional for a few people. one thing I liked about this, it was not only foscussed on the finances/career. There was also relationship and health. People have the misunderstanding that if you concentrate on career you can't have relationship or you lose out on your health well-being. That is totally BS because they're all inter-linked, and you can't just concentrate on one and forget the other. Quite interesting!
They also said, if you can't visualise that is okay because your subconscious mind is actually receiving information. So when you sleep at night, that's when it all kicks in. Hmm!
It was good that it was in Perth Convention Centre because we got to walk to Supreme Court Garden for lunch!!! Yaay! So saw the YADs working hard and bumped into a few friends. It was good fun! Of course took some snaps. The night view was beautiful too. Apparently the fireworks rocked!
On Sat night, after the conference we went to Alex's uni friend's wedding. When we congratulated the bride, she said "you did computer science didn't you". I'm like 'oh my gawd'!! Small world. Although I don't remember seeing her face but I remember her bridesmaid's face. It was good and Alex caught up with his good uni friends. Took some piccies too but I'll just post one up.. =P
Slept at 10.30 last night.. after dinner at Victoria's Station with family. Was so buggered, was soo happy that I got to sleep.. but then around 11pm, got SMS from OB group member asking me to draft conclusion and exec summary for our group assignment. Argh! That got me stressed hahaha So couldn't sleep as well and dreamt heaps. But I guess could also be from NLP so I guess it's is working? *guffaws*
Ok should start on the assignment =P
