Saturday Mike had his birthday celebration. It was pretty cool. Judy and him did such a splendid job setting things up. They had different areas of games and everyone mostly played Poker. But there were a few playing Black Jack, which is not really a money making thing if you want to rack in the chips!!! See the pic above? Judy's creativity. In there had chips and it was sooo awesome!! There were plenty of food as well.. and of course, drinks tee hee hee
Everyone glamed up and we all looked amazing =) Luckily it was warm in the house otherwise we would've had our little tuccas frozen off! I tried my hand at poker and I lost quite a bit so I took off and played Black Jack. I was winning but then it wasn't much and I was losing my chips fast. So I tried my hand at Poker and guess what?! I won ONE round and that filled up my cup to the top.. woohoo! I had a Q & 5 at the start... 3 cards flopped and it had one Q. 4th card showed up, another Q!! Mikewoahski looked at my card (he wasn't playing) and he said, ALL IN Cindy!! I was a bit hesitant.. but I continued on.. I was on a face-off wtih Andrew (a pro player so I was a bit scared). THEN.. on the river (5th card), it showed a 5!! So I had full house!!!!! My heart was racing, eyes going a bit blurry (may be that's also coz I had a few drinks). But.. I went all in. We revealed our cards... Andrew only had 3 of a kind! EEEEEEE-HARRR!!!!!!
A shame Andrew didn't go all in otherwise I would've taken all of his chips.. muawahaha
Naturally, I had to take a photo of it before it went down again...
Unfortunately I lost a bit so I ended up with 81 chips.. 4 chips off to take home the 5th prize! Boo hoo.. Kong Wai came through though and he took 1st prize! He had NOTHING man.. until the last 5 minutes, he bet on single numbers on the roulette three times, and all three times he got them!!!! And that's 35-1 payout!!! Lucky dastard!!!!
Got home at 1am, and next morning.. woke up with a little bit of head ache. Should really drink more water when I have alcohol.. eek.. It was a pretty good night but one thing was missing... Oppa =( It's either coincidence or pre-planned, but everytime a major thing like this (or ones that I can make to) he's always not here. Hmn!!! I'm sure it's just pure coincidence =P *rubs chin*
Mike had a lot of cool pressies, and I reckon another party will be thrown soon.. board games night =)

After an exciting Sat, took it easy Sunday. Went to see "My Super Ex-Girlfriend". Luke Wilson.. YUMMO!!! Uma Thurman, sexy as usual but can tell that she has aged quite a bit. But hey, who can stay young forever (without looking plastic?!). She's aged gracefully =) But I wouldn't recommend seeing it in the cinema. Probably more of a curl up on a couch with warm cup of coffee at home kinda thing. At times through out the film, I cringed at the cliches. But hey, still enjoyed it myself. It's good to see a non-thinking movie every now and then!
Then at night, rushed to get the executive summary done for economics group assignment. It's due this Thurs.. and let's hope we won't have to pull an all-nighter =(
Oh, Sat morning I went wedding dressing shopping with my best friend... She's getting married in Jan 07 so yeah.. everything set except for her dress! It was soo cool to go around the shops. The one on Wellington St (opposite Harbour Town.. you can not imagine how tempted I was to run to Harbour Town!) was really good. Classy and friendly staff. A lot of selection and there were a few interesting designs.. definitely extravagant!! But anyway, my friend found a dress. But it's going to cost an arm and a leg! Let's just hope the dress maker she'll be seeing this weekend can "replicate".
