So yesterday was the long awaited for make-up and hair trial session for my best friend's wedding. I was all ready to be dolled up only to be notified that only one person booked to do the trial. D'oh!! So I sat next to her watching her applying make up and getting her hair done. And yes.. I wouldn't give up a photo opportunity!
It didn't feel long actually, I had fun chatting to the hair dresser and make-up artist. They're very interestig people, full of xperiences. The hair dresser did the hair for The Boy from Oz and she met Hugh Jackman!!!!!! The make-up artist insisted that Hugh's gay coz he's charming, gorgeous, hot and everybody loves him. No straight guy's like that... *giggle* My friend looked gorgeous with her hair and make-up. She'll be such a beautiful bride!! But let's just hope it won't be too hot on the day itself coz we'll melt!!I'm freakin' out a little bit because have to do a speech, which I haven't drafted and it seems like I will be the one to look after her during the day - touching on make up, make sure she's hydrated. Got a tip from Charles & Jo that gotta bring a eski with gatorade so stay hydrated!! Gawrsh...
Sunday went over to Charles' house to get the alco I got him to buy from duty free. First time over and they were very hospitable (is that a word?). Had a nice chat and looked at their wedding album. Got a few tips about speeches (lent me a book!).... first up.. a huge responsibility!!
Getting ready for the holidays... last week at work *woo hoo* Still got more Xmas present shopping to do...
