A new chapter in Snowie's Life

Ahhhh, boo-di-ful UWA. How I miss thee... NOT! haha I don't know, I'm kind nervous about going back to uni... had our orientation day on Saturday. It went from 9am - 3.30pm... pretty full on! First hour or so it was all about "welcome to the BEST university, you've made the right choice"... yadda yadda... a bit snobby but it certainly made the students feel special haha

They gave us some stats, 77 students in this year. 11 are international (Japan, France, Canada etc). Mean age 32. 53 male vs 24 female... I was disappointed about the gender ratio, thought it would be more on a par nowadays!!! There were A LOT of young people doing MBA, and I mean young like... 23-24yo!!!! I was leaning to the OLD side! Can you believe that?!?! And I was glad that majority had the same main concern as me, which is time management. How do you find the balance for study, work, family AND have social life??? I have to sit down and draft a timetable.. like set aside a few hours a week (spreaded out) to do my studies. I need to do a new approach to studying, I managed undergrad uni already but I think I'll need to polish up. So don't bother me during those times peoplez =P

Now, I'm not knocking the engineers/IT people, but man, snobbyyy =P I mean, most of them are very nice people but there are just some that you can pick from a mile away that they're engineers or in the IT industry. A bit stand-offish and hard to strike up a conversation.. I think they're not far from the Doctors.. =P

Oh before I go on, sorry for not turning up on Fri night Lainy, got early start and also, I felt like staying at home =P Just bum and do nothing... Also glad to hear Sun night went VERY WELL. I'd love to see some pictures!

I feel a bit bad for not participating in a lot of YAD stuff lately... lots of things happening. But I guess gotta make sacrifices, and at times like this, YAD is it... Sowwie...

Anyway, on a happier note, I met some of Alex's Xmas Island friends. Very nice bunch and his good friend's girlfriend was really really nice! Just gorgeous =) That's the thing about meeting new people, I always get a bit anxious. It's that split second upon first meeting when your first impression will be stuck for awhile... good or bad. I hope I did ok... =P

Chinese New Year this weekend!!

Happy Chinese New Year!!!!!! May this year bring you happiness, prosperity and most importantly, excellent health!!!
