But I'm glad that we ended up changing groups because the people that were in that group, have now become good friends. We caught up after Trimester 1 and haven't managed to do another one in Tri 2. This Tri.. I thought gotta get everyone together again!! So managed to do that, and asked some others to join. Have definitely enjoyed this year in terms of meeting new people. I think the fact that we started the same time and we did the core units at the same time so we built bonds. Next year will be different though... Jel and I will have NO UNITS in common, which is quite a shame! I'll miss her =(
TOnight was the long awaited end of trimester uni function. Jel and I caught the bus from uni to Oyster Bar @ North Freo. It was nice to chit chat to ppl on the bus. The main purpose of this event is to relax but also network. We surely did that. We spoke to the people that we saw in classes but didn't get to talk to. And yes, I have once again insulted a person by saying the wrong age. Funnily enough, both times were guys that were offended!!! What the?!?! Are guys more sensitive about their age now? haha But at least time I didn't add 10 years on top haha
Oyster Bar @ North Freo.. SOOOO romantic! Especially at sunset. Just looks out to the beach... Didn't get to take many photos toight coz been busy talking. So when I went to the toilet, I took a quick snap...
Lecturers went as well. But only a couple. Our marketing lecturer haha Really hope didn't fail =P But she just keeps on saying good on you and congratulations and lots of words of encouragement.. Hmmmm!! Wonder why ahha But yeah it was great to see her, she's such a lovely pommie lady =) Then met the future stats lecturer, but think he'll forget about meeting us hahaWhen we first go there, I quickly took a shot of Jel and I. We haven't had a photo together! haha She's become a good friend. Met her in Tri 1... and just became close. We've done same units so that helps with the forming of the friendship. She's a great gal!
Tonight, met another Taiwanese!! Amazing ahha Apparently there are now 4 Taiwanese lurking around GSM haha Talked to him a bit but not really. He spoke Mandarin but I felt bad about others not understanding so I spoke in English. I hope that he wasn't offended. But he seems like a nice guy so I'm sure he didn't mind =PSo the whole night was about mingling. Some people really let lose with the drinks haha And saw a different side of them... Jel and I were a bit shocked haha But yeah... it's funny how people use alcohol to bring out the "other" side of themselves.... We caught the bus from GSM but got a lift from someone else back coz we wanted to leave early. The bus wasn't going to leave until 12!!! We stood the whole night (from 7pm!) so we were a bit buggered. Party poopers but hey, plenty more people came late and left earlier than we did!!!
Tomorrow morning, breakfast with my best friend. Haven't caught up with her for ages. Should be good. We'll be walking to the breakfast place.. hope it'll be nice weather and not too hot! Then at night, the anticipated dinner!!! Woo hooo!! Definitely will be taking photos then!!! =)
*yawn*
Got a call from boss this afternoon on my mobile.. he's currently in Philippines, on an island near by attending a wedding. BUT there's typhoon?!!? What the.. poor bride, don't even know if the ceremony will take place! Waaatt?!?! I'd be sooooo disappointed =( But oh well, what can people do?? Just try to see the silver lining I suppose!
