Went to see a movie tonight, thanks to J's persuasion...
I wasn't too keen on watching it because it's Chinese film, I thought it was going to be a typical one where it is boring and very dull.
Boy was I wrong.
A Home Song Stories follows a Perth boy's memories of his childhood and of his mother back in the 1960s in Australia. Unfortunately, the movie ended up being set in Melbourne because they couldn't get funding in Perth =( How sad!!! It was a special screening I suppose because it's his home town. It also had Q&A session after the movie..
I cried and cried man.. My dad started crying not long into the movie hehe It was beautifully shot.. the story was very well told. Everyone cried... *sniffles* Definitely recommend it for all to see. This film is also showing at the Berlin film festival! So proud.. unfortunately it isn't Perth up there =(
