Happy Chinese New Year!!! Wangs came over to our house to celebrate the new year, and we had BBQ and beer (and softies of course). It's funny, definitely not a traditional Chinese meal!! We were stuffed beyond words..
and after the feasting, we played Mah Jong.. haha now that's definitely Chinese!! Mike joined us when we were playing Mah Jong, and we all got ANG BO (red packet) woo hoo!! Oooh, when we were eating, we realised the BBQ sauce bottle had a little air bubble, I thought it was cute so I took a snap of it.. hehe

So we played a few rounds of Mah Jong... and Mike ended up wining!! Thanks to Judy's help and sheer luck!!!! But oh well, can't be a sour grape huh?! =P
After that, we watched Corpse Bride. That was quite interesting.... then about 11pm... I got a call from Alex. He said he's outside our house! I was like.. huh?!?! He wanted to wish happy new year to my parents but he was a tad late coz they sleep very early nowadays!!! So yeah, it's the thought that counts huh?? But it was very very nice to see him =) Wanted him to watch the movie with us before but you know, gotta spend time with family... hehe But he still managed to see me for 15-20 minutes before rushing home before midnight to welcome the new year of the Dawg! Thanks sweetie! *muah*
All in all, it was a great night IN =) Totally enjoyed it and I can't remember the last time we actually spent new years with the Wangs! Far out brussel sprouts!!
uuess what time I woke up today? 7.30am, shocking... had to call grandma in Taiwan so *yawn* Then went to Subi market with Judy to buy veggies. We also had brekkie there, I had chocolate croissant and coffee.. mmm Yummo! It was made by authentic French pasterie chef! hehe I also made bim bim bab (Korean, got the recipe from Alex) tonight for New Years Day dinner.. eveyone enjoyed it, hope they weren't just saying it! =P haha Don't want to discourage me so early in my cooking career I suppose! hehe
Got quite a few SMS today for new years, very sweet of everyone... apparently, that is the most popular way to communicate all greetings nowadays. Amazing how technology helps huh? Better than email I reckon =P
Tomorrow is the start of many weeks of studying for me... Quite nervous, and I've actually done my pre-lecture readings and exercises! MY GAWD! Let's see how long I can keep it up =P *fingers crossed*
