My Best Friend's Wedding!!!!

And noo... I didn't try to sabotage the wedding and no I am not in love with my best friend! hehe

I have waited for this wedding for a FULL year and it finally happened.. still feels very very surreal... Woah. A friend whom I've known for over 13 years is hitched!! She's always said that I'll be hitched soon but I think she's jinxed me coz I ain't married yet!! haha I am soooooooooo happy for her!!!!!

The day started 5am for me. My poor dad had to drop me off at friend's house at 4.45am (it was good that we lived only 5 mins away from each other!). And then waited around for makeup artist & hair stylist to rock up. We were all running around madly. I still managed to take time to take some "behind the scenes" haah
In our PJs!!! ahahah I've had my make-up done already...
Yu Yee's sisters took revenge on me when I was getting my hair done. I was taking photos of them in the most vulnerable times (i.e. without make up and setting their hair haha)... her second sister cunningly said to me "oh, Cindy where's your camera?" I thought she wanted to take a photo elsewhere you know?? But nooooooo she tricked me!! Grrrrr! Why am I so naive!?

Tea ceremonies at the houses were long haha It's the canto tradition but
apparently Taiwan doesn't have that!! So I guess no present haha Yu Yee had SOO many necklaces and bracelets!

For the whole day, I didn't have a chance to feel the emotions... was just simply too tired. My friend was getting headache coz sooo tired! haha She had like 4 panadols! :O I wonder if I'll be like that on my own big day! Hmmm! Probably won't have a big one like hers!

But my friend looked GORGEOUS! Gawrsh.. was sooooo happy for her. Her hubby (oh my gawd! haha) loves her sooo much, so great to see the union!!! The pic below shows the hair stylist putting on the veil. We learnt quite a few western traditions such as the bridesmaid place the veil on the bride, but in my friend's case it's the mum.
We chauffeured in a Bentley!! So classy! It was surreal to be in the car on the way to the ceremony because people were honking!! Before, I'd look at the wedding cars and go "woo hoo!" and it's just weird to be on the receiving end hahaha
I was panicking on our way to the wedding ceremony in Cottosloe coz of the walking down the isle by myself. It went ok, I didn't trip ahha But I had a big grin on my face and my dad made a loud comment when I walked by them - "smile less, your showing your teeth too much".. Grr!!

We were very lucky with the weather. It was perfect, although we did all get sun burnt =( Oh well, it was well worth it!!! My speech went ok... I had a few laughs =P But I did speak a bit fast. Having the tequila shot BEFORE my speech was not helpful at all! ahha I was slurring a bit.. damn the MC!!!

My friend did swing dance for the "bridal waltz" and it was SOOOO nice. Will put up the video when I can.. Below are some more shots throughout the day. It was farnie, after the ceremony my family was taking like heaps of photo with me.. like I was the bride ahahahah =P I guess they haven't seen me so made up and so lady-like for a long time!!

We went to UWA for pics.. there were at least SIX other wedding couples there trying to get a nice spot for photos. I swear, everyone's photo album will have the same backgrounds!!! haha But look at that, it doesn't matter.... isn't it just beautiful?? Except I got the videographer in the frame as well! =P

Ok ok.... so much to write about but I don't think I will. It was such a wonderful day where I saw my childhood friend married the man she loves and who will look after her for the rest of their lives together. Very very happy.

Gotta pack now, heading off to NZ tomorrow!!!!!!!!
